Subsequent Injuries Benefits trust fund ( SIBTF) is an additional compensation paid by the state of California. These funds are paid to the injured worker that has a pre-existing disability and then suffered a major work related injury. The Injured workers pre-existing disability and their subsequent injury must be equal to or greater than 70 percent to qualify.
